West Cork Classic Retro

The gang clean up!

29 May, 2006 -- Well, some of the Red Mist gang were competing in the Cork Motor Club's West Cork Classic Retro trial. Retro's are generally ran to the way that rallies were ran before the advent of special stages. So, the event generally comprises of regularity sections, driving tests, test trials and a night nav.

There were four cars competing from the Red Mist gang, and all four cars brought home the crystal! The results are

• First in class for Camper and his brother
• Second in Class for Suggs & The Councillor
• Second in Class for Big T & Steak
• Third in class for Dell & Cobh

All in all, a good day at the office

There was no mechanical dramas during the event, except the Escort developed a thirst for oil, for some reason and Steak's car has a nice rattle to it after the tests (see the photos for the reason)

The event took place over the weekend, both Saturday & Sunday, and there was a special presentation to Dell at the prizegiving. It was her birthday, and the cake went down well!!
