FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
And the Constipated Chicken enjoyed it's (cold) outing, on the roof of the Mondeo

There were a few Red Mist Members out competing in the Retro. Ice Cream was driving Camper, in Campers new car, Steak was guiding Big T, and Suggs was complaining about having to Navigate (muttering something about sitting on the wrong side of the car). All Red Mist brought back some crystal, with
All in all, an adequate result.
By the way, it seems that the only events that Red Mist Members seem to do well in is Retro's (see here for last year's story). We are generally propping up the bottom of the timesheets in rallying!
The weekend was generally a good time, with Old Stock showing how a Sunny should be driven, and John Helen & Victor Beamish trying to better him (both also in Sunnys). Noel Ferritter kept us entertained, with a Porsche that had a sticking throttle when pressed fully (the sound of a 911 engine with a jammed open throttle is expensive!).
However, the hard luck story must go the Nigel Coulter & John Harrington. They were having a horrid time, as the MG Midget was not running right. After two or three distributor rebuilds during the event, the cause was discovered to be the HT lead from the coil shorting on the steering column. Then, after sorting it with a rubber car mat, something went south in the gearbox! But, they stil finished second in class!
We were also busy with a camera, so click there for some pictures.
