Skibb's 100 Isles Night Nav

Just Wait until I get my hands on Ger....

It was bound to happen, the Red Mist gang had a poor night, results wise. The best we got was Suggs, with a 6th in class (overall, don't ask). For the rest of us, it's better to look close to the bottom of the results to find us (but not right at the bottom, just go up a small bit!).

However, as a fun night, most of us had a ball! Big T, Ice-Cream, Camper, The Works Navi, The Councillor, Suggs and Quinny were out competing, with M.M. out marshalling. The rest of the gang didn't make it as they were out marshalling in Mitchelstown Forestry the next day. Suggs and M.M. made both events, with the rest of us wondering actually if Suggs sleeps at all!

There was some bad luck stories as well. Campers AX started to die after one "large puddle", which was the size of the Atlantic Ocean! But, thanks to some careful use of the right foot, it dried out after 15 minutes and kept going. An exhaust rubber mount also popped off due to the smooth lanes, that more suited to a tank, but we'll get it back on, or get a new one from Big Sean's!

Cousin Brian, of Hatchet Craic Motorsport had a horrid night, with a puncture after one lane. Then, a drive popped, but he struggled on to the finish. Oh, he was seeded two placed behind Camper, who spent most of the night pulling over and leaving Brian out, as Camper is a slow-a$$ driver! It got so bad that the two crews worked out a code, based on the number of flashes of the lights, as to the urgency of the following crew. Basically, the more he flashed, the faster Camper pulled over....

Big T didn't use the Mondeo (SHOCK!! HORROR!!) but he used a 200 euro Toyota Carina and typically for Toyota, it kept going for the whole night, but new shocks may be needed!

Quinny had a bad night. He was navigating for Cooke, but had trouble even before the event started with the fuel pump. Then, the exhaust started to leave the vehicle, but it stayed on just long enough to finish the event!

That's all the news for now. If anybody knows who was the photographer was in the lane near Brinny, drop us a line as we want some of the photographs. We won't bite, honest.

Oh, Ger, we'll get you back for the "smooth lanes"!!!
