For those of you who don't know, the Bunfight is the annual Cork Motor Club's knees-up, at which the presentation of the Club Championship awards takes place. This year, the 023 Tiles Southern Four Rally Championship prize giving also took place at the Bunfight, so a queue for the toilets was guaranteed....
That's the boring part done. Now for the scandal. We took home loads of awards (first & second in both novice driver & novice navigator; first semi-expert driver; third expert navigator and any that they had left over). We also took home the top prize in the Cork Motor Club's marshal's draw, and the holiday voucher is being spent as we speak. "Go on the Dan" took home the Marshal of the year award, even though somebody else's name was on it. The Beamish's cleaned up as well, in both the club championship and the Southern Four.
The rest of the night was spent wearing the napkins on our heads; wearing, stroking and eating the flower arrangement that was on the table; watching Big T's dance moves in amazement (if you could call it dancing) and other general mayham. Oh, Macca was fierce proud of his turkey....
