Red Mist MotorSport Policy Document 

Below are a guide to the principles and philosophies that Red Mist Motorsport attempt to use. 

1. Red Mist is aimed at the competitor at the end of the field primarily, and then at the competitors who just go out to enjoy themselves. Anybody who’s primary aim is to win at all costs is not what Red Mist is about.

2. If anybody who features in Red Mist wins anything, while it is celebrated, they are expected not to get a swelled heads or not to rub fellow Red Mist members noses in it. That is one of the main guiding principle behind Red Mist

3. A thick skin is expected for all Red Mist featured competitors

4. A thick skin is also expected for the Red Mist visitors.

5. All complaints of inappropriate, inaccurate or offensive content can be sent to ianiobrien@gmail.com so that they can be considered immediately. The complainant will receive a written reply to the email address that lodged the complaint within 10 working days. However, it is our intention to answer all complaints within three to four working days. Only after the reply is sent will the material be removed from the website, if the complaint is upheld. Otherwise, the material remains on-line.

6. Any complaints of breach of copyright can be sent to ianiobrien@gmail.com with “Copyright Red Mist” in the subject line. A contact phone number must be included so that the item can be discussed. In the extremely unlikely event that a breach of copyright occurred, an apology will appear on the home page for a minimum period of 7 days.

7. All photos that are not accompanied with a copyright message, copyright remains with RedMistMotorSport.com

8. The following items will not feature on Red Mist Motorsport’s Website
   1. Pornographic images or videos.
   2. Audio or Video files for the distribution of copyrighted material.
   3. Any copyright material which does not acknowledge the material as copyrighted.
   4. Personal attacks on somebody’s good name.

9. The following items, however can feature on Red Mist Motorsport’s website
   1. What is commonly referred to as “Toilet Humour”.
   2. Subjective reports from events that Red Mist members or featured personnel took part in.
   3. Photos from the events that can cover both the competition vehicles and Red Mist members & featured personnel.
   4. Any motorsport items that, in our opinion, impact in the ability of the person at the bottom of the sport to both compete and to enjoy the sport.
   5. Criticisms of an event can feature, while any criticism mentioned is not aimed at the person directly.

10. No guarantee is specified or implied with regard to any of the services, commercial or otherwise by any of the people or businesses mentioned in the home page, or the links page.

11. Red Mist Motorsport is financed though the voluntary contributions of the members of Red Mist.

12. Red Mist is an equal opportunities website. Everybody’s going to be offended at some point with the contents.
